Steak and carrot soba

Verdict: Pretty good.

Slice chilled steak into thin strips (the thin cuts intended for sandwiches are great here if you want to cook quickly). Marinate in a bit of salt, and lots of curry powder, chili powder, black pepper, and/or garlic powder.
Put a pan of water on the stove and bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, cut half a carrot into long thin strips with a julienne knife or a vegetable peeler. Optional: finely slice some green onions as well.
When the water comes to a boil, add in the soba and the carrot strips, and simmer until the soba is done. Drain, rinse, set aside.

Wipe the pan dry; heat up some sesame oil; then fry the steak strips on high. When the steak is nearly browned, add the green onions and some toasted sesame seeds if you have them. Finally, mix in the soba and carrots, drizzling everything with a bit of soy and oyster sauce for moisture and flavour.
